To end this year’s medieval weekend, we are delighted to have the award winning young guitarist and composer Christopher Roberts. Chris graduated from Cardiff University in 2017 with first-class honours and the Neville John String Prize. He was additionally awarded The Diana Lock Memorial Rose Bowl for best overall performance. He is currently studying for a Masters in performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, supported by Help Musicians UK.

He will be performing music from “ADRA”, an album due to be released in the autumn.  He will also be playing early music composed by Welsh Harpist Robert ap Huw in the 1530s, harp music which he has successfully transposed for the Classical guitar.  His performances have been praised by the music press for their beautifully varied timbres, […] real virtuosity,’ and for being ‘simply mesmerising’.  This concert is supported by Night Out who fund performances for rural communities in association with the Arts Council of Wales.
